Ruth Helen Rosenau, age 85, of Waldorf, MN, died Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at the Mapleton Community Home. A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Waldorf, MN, with Rev. Michael Mathews officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at First Lutheran Cemetery in Waldorf, MN. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home is assisting the family. Dale Olof Strenge, 79, of Geneva, died Saturday, July 16, 2016 at New Richland Care Center.
He was born October 17, 1936 in Byron Township, the son of Olof and Elsie (Drache) Strenge. He attended Berlin #70 country school and Ellendale High School graduating in 1954. He enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky. In 1958, while on leave, he married Nadine Olson, a neighbor whom he had first asked to marry him when they were both six years old. After his discharge later that year, he and Nadine returned to Minnesota and farmed for many years near Ellendale, not far from where they both grew up.

Memorial services for Ervin Himmerich will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 11 at Trinity Lutheran Church in New Richland. Reverend Paul Andree will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Military honors will be accorded by the New Richland Area Veterans.
Ervin Himmerich of New Richland passed away Thursday July 7, 2016 at New Richland Care Center. He was 86 years old. Ervin was born October 28, 1929 to Henry and Katherine (Wiekum) Himmerich in Linton, North Dakota. He married the love of his life, Bernice Jensrud, on July 3, 1949 in Esmond, ND.

Remembering the life of Stanley Robert Getskow….
Funeral services for Stanley Robert Getskow, of New Richland, will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 18, at Trinity Lutheran Church in New Richland. The Reverend Paul Andree will officiate. Interment will be in St. Olaf Cemetery. Friends may visit with family from 9:30 until the time of the service at the church on Monday.
Stan died on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Albert Lea. He was 80.
Stan was born on November 14, 1935, in Freeborn County the son of Willis and Esther (Borge) Getskow.
He graduated from Freeborn High School.

Merrill Alton Johnson, of New Richland passed away on the morning of July 4, 2016 at New Richland Care Center. He was 65 years old.
Merrill was born on September 13, 1950 to Selmer and Ruth Johnson in Manchester, MN. Merrill attended Albert Lea Schools and then went to truck driving school. On July 9, 1973 Merrill married Gail Pederson and they made their home in New Richland. Merrill drove truck for many years for Kruegers and Huntington’s Auto, to name a few.
