Sharon Ann Haugan (Tukua), 80, of Rochester, MN passed away peacefully on November 18th, 2022 at Seasons Hospice House surrounded by family.

Sharon was born on December 28th, 1941 to Norris and Wanita Tukua in Waseca, MN. 

She dedicated over 40 years of her life working at Mayo Medical Center in Nursing Education in Rochester, MN.  Earlier in her career, she also worked at IBM and for the Rochester School District.

Donald was born on January 25, 1931 in New Richland, MN to the late Bert and Myrtle (Groth) Root. A veteran of the United States Army, Don proudly served his country during the Korean War and was a member of the Waseca VFW “Sweet-Sommers” Post 1642 Honor Guard. Skilled with his hands, Don worked as a mechanic at Kraft Foods, formerly Birds Eye, in Waseca for many years. On January 10, 1970 in Winona, MN, Don married the love of his life, Bonnie (Munsch) Root; together they shared more than 50 wonderful years. 

Known for his kind spirit and infectious laugh, Don was a friend to many. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, tending to his yard, paying special attention to his garden, reading, completing jigsaw puzzles, and playing cards. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family. 

Left to cherish Don’s memory are his children, Sam (Teri) Root, Marty (Karen) Root, Andrea Petzel, and Connie (Burton) Berg; grandchildren, Brady and Adam Root, Taylor (Cody Stangl) Root, Travis (Katie) Root, Jon Root, Erik (Missy) Root, Cory and April Root, Miranda Petzel, Grant (Trudy) Berg, Gavin Berg, and Kelsey (Tyler) Pederson; great-grandchildren, Harvey Root, Kassidy Kirtz, Carter, Parker and 

Joanne Mary Cromwell, 84, of Geneva, MN, passed away on November 12, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. 

Joanne was born on January 26, 1938 to Clarence and Della (Waldemar) King in Geneva, MN. She at- tended and graduated from Albert Lea School. On October 27, 1957 she married the love of her life, Donly Cromwell at Community Lutheran Church in Geneva. They continued to make Geneva their home where they raised their 5 children. 

Joanne’s pride and joy was her family. There was never a child, grandchild or great grandchild who’s birthday went by unnoticed. She enjoyed camping and fishing with her family and was never one to turn down a boat ride or drive in a fast car. 

Donald John Entwisle, 91, of New Richland, MN, passed away peacefully at his home on November 11, 2022, surrounded by family. Don was born to Richard and Cecelia (Reckers) Entwisle in Sioux City, IA on May 13, 1931. He attended school in Adrian, MN at St. Adrian’s Catholic School. After graduation, he attended South Dakota State College where he obtained his degree in Pharmacy in 1953.

Don was united in marriage to Arlis Johannsen on August 11, 1953, and they were happily married for 69 years. Don spent two years in the United States Army. He and Arlis spent the first year in California before Don was deployed to Korea.

Upon his return, Don and Arlis bought the drug store in Dell Rapids, SD, where they lived for 10 years. In 1966, they purchased New Richland Drug and made New Richland, MN their home for 17 years. In 1983, Don and Arlis retired and moved to Bella Vista, AR, where they spent 39 years before moving back to New Richland in May of 2022.

Clayton (Bud) Tufte passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. Bud was born October 28, 1935, to Arthur and Edna (Hyland) Tufte, in Oakland Township, the youngest of 4 children. He was baptized and confirmed in the Oakland Lutheran Church. He lived in rural Albert Lea and graduated from Austin High School. While working at the Albert Lea Tribune in 1954, he met the girl of his dreams, Connie Studer. He enlisted into the Army in 1955, serving in Korea and Honorably discharged in 1957. Bud and Connie were married that August and recently celebrated 65 years. They purchased a farm in Riceland and lived there for 60 years. He and Connie then moved to Ellendale.

They were blessed with 4 children Marty (Kim) Tufte, Phoenix, AZ; Becki (John) Schwietz and Barbi (Scott) Linde, both from Mahtomedi, MN, and Tami (Chris) LaCanne, Ellendale, MN; 12 grandchildren, Bri (Nick) Masching, Maddy (Cole) Jones, Alex Rice, Jack Schwietz, Nicholas Clayton Tufte, Kitty Rice, Benjamin Clayton Schwietz, Trevor Arthur Lenort, Miranda LaCanne, Riley Schwietz, Max Rice and Keira Lenort; Great grandchildren Gavin and Lauryn Masching.
