On September 30, 2014, a criminal complaint was filed in Waseca County District Court charging Bobby Ray Roth Jr., 32, with one count each of 2nd Degree Assault, Terroristic Threats, and two counts of Domestic Assault from an incident alleged to have occurred on the evening of September 28 at an address on N. Broadway Ave.
The incident was initially reported on September 29 to Waseca County Human Services, who then contacted the New Richland Police Department. A social worker from Waseca County Human Services assisted the New Richland Police Department with the investigation.Roth is alleged to have caused injury to a juvenile male and also made threats of violence with a weapon towards an adult who also resides at the address during the incident. Roth was arrested and transported to the Waseca County Jail at approximately 5:20 p.m. on September 29.
