Groove 4 Food Sunday at Trinity Lutheran

The New Richland Area Food Shelf is kicking off March FoodShare with "Groove 4 Food" Sunday, March 2, 1:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in New Richland. Talent includes  Lillie Nielsen, T.J. Schiltz, Melissa Williams, Dalton Kraay, Two Guys and a Preacher (Pr. Pamela Jensen), Donna and Greg Moe and Just Friends! Al Batt is the emcee. There will be a mystery auctioneer!   Live auction items include NRHEG Panther boys’ and girls’ basketball team boards by Brenda Kampen, a pool party for 12 at Crossings by Grand Stay in Waseca, pinatas by Virginia Gaona, gift certificates to First Impressions and KJs Styles, turkeys (frozen) from Wagner Foods, quilt from St. Peter’s NR and Otisco quilters, a coffee-theme basket from Trinity quilters, a baby gift set by Gail Batt, 31 totes and an additional Kampen board!


Ellendale Area Food Shelf to host Sunday dinner

On Sunday, March 2nd, 2014 the Ellendale Area Food Shelf will host a creamed chicken and biscuit dinner. The free-will donation event will be held from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at the Ellendale United Methodist Church. The dinner will help raise funds during Minnesota's Annual March Food Share Campaign.


ECFE Spring Kickoff scheduled for Monday

The NRHEG Early Childhood Family Education Program will have its spring kickoff on Monday, March 3 at 6:30 p.m. in the Ellendale School Cafeteria. “PJ’s, Popcorn, Hot Chocolate, and Books” is the theme for the evening. This event is open to all preschoolers and their parents or caregivers. The Owatonna Public Library will participate in this event. Registration for our spring session will be available this evening. Free hard cover books will be given to every preschooler in attendance. This event is free to all preschoolers and their parents.


Nominees sought for parade grand marshal

The New Richland Farm and City Days Committee is seeking nominations for this summer’s Grand Marshal. Each year, the committee works to identify an individual that plays an active role in making New Richland a great place to live! If you know someone that deserves this honor, we ask that you submit a letter of nomination describing why you feel this person should be named the 2014 Grand Marshal. Letters must be received by Monday, May 26, 2014, and can be sent to: Grand Marshal Nomination, Farm and City Days Committee, PO Box 262, New Richland, MN 56072.
