Donald J. “Don” Madison, age 73, of Wabasha, died Monday, November 12, 2012 at St. Elizabeth’s Nursing Home in Wabasha. He was the owner/operator of Don’s Power and Equipment in Wabasha. He was born April 28, 1939 in Minneapolis, the son of James and Margaret (Discher) Madison.
He grew up in New Richland, MN and graduated from high school there. He married Clara Johnson January 26, 1958 at Pontoppidan Lutheran Church in Lemond, MN, near Owatonna. They moved to Wabasha in 1960. He owned and operated Don’s Surge, a milking machine equipment business from 1960 until 1970. He also worked for Jim Elliott at Wabasha Marina during this time. In 1970 he started Don’s Lawn and Sport, owning and operating the business until selling it to his son, David, in 2000. Currently he owned and operated Don’s Power and Equipment located in David’s business.
The memorial service for Edward W. Possin of Geneva, Minnesota will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2012 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Richland, Minnesota. The Reverend Scott Williams will officiate. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before service. Military Honors will be accorded.
Edward died Wednesday November 7, 2012 at his home. He was 86 years old.
Roger died at his home on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He died after a courageous and unforgiving battle with cancer, at age 73.
Roger Gene Crawford was born in his home in Sheffield, Iowa on October 13, 1939 to Wilbert and Viota Crawford. He received his education there, graduating from Sheffield Community High School in 1958. He served in the US Army. On June 24, 1962 he was married to Cynthia Rohn in the First Methodist Church, Sheffield.
The Mass of Christian Burial for Richard Eugene Jensen of Wadena will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at the St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Wadena with Father Tim Wenzel presiding. Friends may call at the Johnson-Schuller Chapel in Wadena on Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m., with Parish Prayers to be held at 5:30 p.m. and Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7 p.m., and again at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Richard passed away at the age of 78 years on Friday, October 26, 2012 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud.
Richard was born on September 7, 1934 to Frank and Jessie (Mosier) Jensen at Ellendale, MN. He was diagnosed at age 7 with Becker Muscular Dystrophy. After the death of his father, he moved with his mother to Park Rapids then to a farm west of Sebeka where they milked Jersey and Guernsey cattle until her age & his health made it too difficult. He attended Alexandria Technical College in the 1960s to study food service management. After the death of his mother Richard moved into Wadena where he lived until his death.
The funeral service for Margaret Corrine Toft will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, October 29, 2012 at Grace Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. Pastor Andrea Myers will officiate. Interment will be in Lakewood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-6 on Sunday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, as well as one hour prior to the service at church.
Margaret Toft passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Thorne Crest Retirement Center. She was 80 years old.
The funeral service for E. Jane Perry of New Richland will be held on Saturday, October 13 at 2 p.m. at the Congregational Church in New Richland. Pastor Pamela Jensen will officiate. Interment will be in St. Peters Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church.
Jane Perry passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at St. Luke’s Care Center in Blue Earth. She was 86 years old.
Jane was born on July 31, 1926 in Blue Earth. The daughter of Frank and Wava (Fletcher) Dray, she attended school in Blue Earth, and after graduation, went on to complete her teacher training. On November 1, 1946, she married Donald Perry in Blue Earth. Together they settled down in New Richland in 1953 where they raised three children.

Lenore passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012 at the New Richland Care Center. She was 94.
Eunice Maxine Jensen, 82, of Reeds Spring, Missouri formerly of Ellendale, died Monday, October 8, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Branson, Missouri.
Eunice Olson Jensen was born December 1, 1929 at their farm home across from Beaver Lake in Steele County the daughter of Albert and Sophia (Jensen) Olson. She was the 12th child of 9 girls and 3 boys, all delivered by Dr. Ertel. At the age of four, Eunice moved with her family to Geneva and lived there until she was united in marriage to Freebert “Bud” Jensen on November 15, 1946 at the Assembly of God Church in Ellendale.
Gordon O. Toft, 88, of Owatonna, died Friday, September 28, 2012 at Owatonna Hospital.
He was born November 14, 1923 in Ellendale, Minnesota the son of Irvin and Cora (Gunderson) Toft. He was baptized and confirmed at the First Lutheran Church in Ellendale. He graduated from Ellendale High School in 1941. After his schooling, he worked farming and was a truck driver. In 1948, he moved to Owatonna. He worked at the State Theatre in Owatonna operating the projection camera from 1950 to 1962. He then worked as the grounds maintenance supervisor at the Owatonna State School from 1961 to 1970 and the Faribault State Hospital from 1970 to 1988, when he retired.

Manuel A. Johnson, 76, of Hartland, died Monday, September 17, 2012 in Owatonna.
He was born May 31, 1936 in New Richland, Minnesota the son of Myrtle and Monroe (Hanson) Johnson. He grew up on a farm near Hope. He attended school in Hope. After his schooling he then worked on the family farm. He entered the United States Army and served three years until his honorable discharge. He then went to work for a freight delivery service in the metropolitan area. Manuel moved to Wisconsin where he farmed near Menomonie for a number of years. He returned to Minnesota where he drove semi before becoming self-employed as a carpenter.

Becky died from complications of cancer on Friday, September 14, 2012 at Good Samaritan Center in Albert Lea. She was 84.
Brian Renstrom, 35, of Karlstad, Minnesota passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Friday, September 7, 2012. Brian Michael Renstrom was born May 4, 1977 in Albert Lea, Minnesota, the son of Timothy and Leone (Walz) Renstrom. He was a 1995 graduate of Tri County High School in Karlstad, Minnesota. On August 14, 2004 he married Courtney Hultgren at Grace Lutheran Church in Hallock. Brian did concrete and sheetrock construction work until 2008 when he began working for Central Boiler in Greenbush, Minnesota. He was a member of the Karlstad Volunteer Fire Department.
Family members include his wife, Courtney; a daughter, Isabelle; his brother, Randy (Lauren) Renstrom, Eden Prairie, MN; his biological father, Randy (Diane) Fox, New Richland, MN; four nieces, Kiersten Renstrom, Jocelyn and Keria Anderson and Harper Weller. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Erinn and his biological mother, Pam Fox.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 2 p.m.
Funeral services for Regina Mildred Kalis of New Richland, MN, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the All Saints Catholic Church in New Richland. Father Swami and Father Eugene Stenzel will officiate. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Friedrich Funeral Home in New Richland and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, New Richland.
Mrs. Kalis died Sunday, September 9, 2012 at the New Richland Care Center. She was 89 years of age.
Regina was born December 15, 1922 in Faribault County MN, the daughter of Paul and Balbina (Chicos) Stenzel. She attended country school in Faribault County. In 1943 she was united in marriage to Alexander Kalis in Wells, MN.
