Maurice A. Jongbloedt, 89, died at his home in rural New Richland, Minnesota on Tuesday, November 22, 2016. Funeral services for Maurice will be held Saturday, November 26, 2016 at All Saints Catholic Church in New Richland. Father Michael Cronin will officiate. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, New Richland, at a later date.

Maurice was born on January 11, 1927 in Blue Earth County, Minnesota, to parents Alois and Pharilde (Willeart) Jongbloedt. On August 11, 1953, Maurice married the love of his life, Charlotte S. Page in St. Clair, Minnesota. He was drafted and served in the US Army until March 1956. In 1959, the couple moved to their farm near New Richland where they raised their family. Maurice dedicated 58 years of his life to farming.
 
Maurice is survived by his wife, Charlotte; children, Katherine (Richard) Guinn, Karen Arneman, Phyllis (Joel) Preston, Joseph (Kelly) Jongbloedt, Michael (Beth) Jongbloedt, Geraldine (Gregg) Barette, Jean Jongbloedt, John (Karen) Jongbloedt; 24 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five siblings; grandson, Aaron Hagen; and son-in-law, Bill Arneman.
