Maryellen M. Miller of Owatonna died September 6, 2016 at Park Place senior living in Owatonna. A memorial service is set for Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Brick–Meger Funeral Home (1603 Austin Rd, Owatonna.) Friends may greet the family one hour before the time of service. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery at Litomysl.
Mary Ellen Marie was born the daughter of Soren C. and Nicholina (Anderson) Norgaard in Summit Township. She attended school in Ellendale and was a member the graduating class of 1952. Mary Ellen was united in marriage to Raphael “Ray” Miller on October 25, 1952 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at Litomysl. The couple made their home on a farm in rural Steele County and Mary Ellen worked alongside of her husband in all aspects of farming. Her life interests include knitting, baking, cooking for her family. Mary Ellen was the neighborhood day care for many years.
Mary Ellen is survived by her children Danny Miller of Owatonna, Judy (Jim) Schwartz of Alden, MN. Linda (Jay) Hernandez of Owatonna, daughters-in-law Dawn Miller of Owatonna and Marissa Miller of Georgia, eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Ray two sons Dale and Thomas, one sister and two brothers. Memorials may be directed to Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
