 Michael Steven Raymo, 67, of Mankato, passed away on August 30, 2016.

Visiation will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, September 5, 2016 at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Mankato. Celebration of Life will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the church with visitation one hour prior with Rev. John Petersen officiating. Mankato Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.

Michael was born January 1, 1949 in Waseca, MN to Myrna Isabel (Arnold) and Carrell William Raymo. Carrell and Myrna had three other children, Carrell LeRoy “Sonny”, Darlene Elsie “Dee”, and Bonnie Jean. He graduated from New Richland High School in 1966, and attended Austin Community College. After graduating college, he worked various jobs before starting his career at Motion Industries for 24 years.

On January 24, 1982, he married Stephanie Jo Neumann. Together they had two children, Samantha Jo and Lance Michael, and built their life in Mankato.

Michael enjoyed watching and playing sports, especially softball. He started playing softball in 1965, and played for over 40 years before being inducted into the Mankato Area Softball Hall of Fame in 2012. Michael was mechanically inclined, and loved working with cars. He also enjoyed watching movies, traveling, and accumulating knowledge throughout his life. Spending time with his family was something he cherished. Michael was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, Mankato.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie of Mankato; children, Samantha Jo Raymo, Lance Michael Raymo of Mankato; grandchildren, Malayah Jo, Elyse Olivia; and sister, Darlene Elsie “Dee” Larson of Colorado.  

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Bonnie Jean Raymo, Carrell LeRoy “Sonny” Raymo.
