Therese Jameson (Traxler), 83, of Hartland and a devoted follower of Christ, went home to be with God on July 30, 2016 while surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 5, 2016 at All Saints Catholic Church in New Richland, with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery in LeCenter. Father Raul Silva will officiate. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 4 until 7 p.m. at Friedrich’s Funeral Home in New Richland, and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Therese was born April 15, 1933 in LeCenter, MN to William and Rosella (Weiland) Traxler. She grew up on a farm near LeCenter and graduated from McKinley High School in 1951. After high school, Therese moved to Rochester with six of her best friends and worked at St. Mary’s Hospital as a nursing assistant before moving back to Le Center to work as a bookkeeper at the GTA elevator. On October 6, 1955, Therese married LeRoy “Babe” Jameson at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. They lived in LeCenter for eight years and during this time had two children, Kevin and Kari.

In 1963, they moved to Hartland, MN, where they would have three more children: Kristopher, Kimberly, and Karla. In 1972, Therese and Babe lost their 14-year-old son, Kevin, in a tragic elevator accident. After the children were older, Therese worked as a nursing assistant at the New Richland Care Center for 10 years. She was blessed the last few years for her life to have her daughter, Kimberly, and grandchildren Ellarose and Emmablu live with her.

Therese and Babe had many friends in Hartland with whom they enjoyed playing cards, having coffee, snowmobiling, and camping throughout the years. Therese was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary and All Saint’s Catholic Church in New Richland. She was an excellent homemaker and devoted mother and grandmother, and she also enjoyed gardening and cooking.

Therese is survived by her son Kris (Gean) Jameson of Waseca; daughters Kari Kuball of Waseca, Kimberly Jameson of Hartland, and Karla (Zach) Thennes of Madison, WI; grandchildren Tarin Kuball, Kristal Jameson, Adam Kuball, Randi (Jeremy) Ritchie, Jake Jenkins, Ellarose and Emmablu Jameson, Jack, Cole, and Julia Thennes; and great-grandson Trent Kuball.

Therese was preceded in death by her husband LeRoy, son Kevin, and her brother Bill Traxler.
