The following are exit interviews after the F.R.O.G. (Fully Rely on God) Valentine's Party at Central Freeborn Lutheran Church Rural Albert Lea on Saturday evening, February 3, 2024.

1. Paul Anderson: I thought I knew how to play Bingo until I played Norwegian Bingo.

2. Gary Anderson: Same reply as Paul Anderson.

3. Gene Wangen: The caller needs to speak louder or else use a mike!!

4. Bruce Stolaas: Forget about getting to give the opening grace – I just like to talk cause everybody likes to hear my Norwegian!!

5. Eunice Bakken: I was told a sure way to win friends and influence people was to bring homemade cookies – so I did!!

6. A young lady: I didn't get Bingo, but I still got a prize!! (Brad Bjerke was the person making the day for the young lady.)

7. Gillian Griggs: I didn't know it could be so hard getting a person to register for a door prize.

8. Elaine Wallace: Thanks for an evening out with my two young grandkids.

9. Phil Morreim: I was influenced by a cookie maker.

10. Caleb Griggs: I promise to practice to roll a dice and keep it on the table. (He blew it 7 out of 7 times at the party)

11. Ann Lynne – Paul Lynne: One more year needed to understand how to get a Bingo and win!!

12. The Hensches Clan: We got the most Bingoes! (Readers, for your info there were 15 clan members playing Bingo.)

13. All those not getting Bingo gave the same exit response: “I'll be back!!”

In summary, the Valentine's Party was a great success. The fellowship hall was packed. Everyone received food coupons from Main Street, KFC, Taco Johns, Applebee's, Arby's in Albert Lea. Perkins of Albert Lea donated two door prizes (a six pack of muffins, plus an apple pie).

Genie and I must thank Bev and Wayne Indrelie for helping make the Valentine's Pary a great success.

One warning to all males under the age of 112 and over the age of 12. “A sure way of getting into trouble is forgetting Valentine's day.”

An interesting thing regarding Valentine's is: some counties DO NOT charge for a marriage license that day in Minnesota.

Genie watched the ground hog at Big island State Park by Albert Lea. He didn't see his shadow on February 2nd as he came out of his hole. That means were going to have the ground ready to plant potatoes by Good Friday.

Do you know who the most powerful woman in the world is? It's not Taylor Swift, but she is working on it. Right now, she is number 5. After all is in regarding the Super Bowl, she just might move to # ONE.
