Fully Rely on God (FROG) of Central Freeborn Lutheran Church was born 12-29-02 with the opening of a bank account.

The first event held was a Valentines Party. Later: “Lutheran Night at the Twins,” “Church Basement Ladies,” “Christmas by the Lake,” plus a few other events sponsored by FROG.

Regardless of the event, it was always a success financially plus being a success in numbers attending.

The year 2020 COVID virus changed the success to almost a complete shut-down. No events were held in 2020 or 2021.

A bus trip to Lutheran Night at the Twins, plus a bus trip to Church Basement Ladies were held in 2022. Neither one was a success financially or in numbers of people attending.

2023 is a new year and a decision has been reached to sponsor the very popular F.R.O.G. Valentine's Party with Norwegian Bingo. The event is scheduled at Central Freeborn Lutheran Fellowship Hall on Saturday, February 4, 2023 starting at 6 p.m. sharp with pop, pizza, fellowship. At 7 p.m. “Norwegian Bingo” with prizes. At 8 p.m. ice cream with toppings. At 9 p.m. drawing for the door prizes at the end of a hopefully good evening of fun, food and fellowship.

The cost is $7.50 per person; a rate of $25.00 will cover a family with children. All attending are asked to bring a white elephant item or two for the $1.00 Bingo table.

RSVP to Bob and Genie Hanson 373-8655 or Wayne and Bev Indrelie 826-3267.

A free Beanie Baby plus free food coupons to all in attendance.

P.S. The Hansons and Indrelies, co-chairs of F.R.O.G., were uncertain about the wisdom of holding the Norwegian Bingo Valentine's Party. After careful discussion, a decision was reached to go ahead with planning and publicizing the event, since both must be done well in advance. The final consensus was that, if health-related concerns were to arise, there is still the option to cancel the event on short notice.

Thus, at this point, move over COVID, flu, and any other health epidemics: We have decided to party!!! Are you with us??

P.P.S. Watch for flyers regarding the party. There will be several picture puzzles as Bingo prizes.
