The LeSueur River Lutheran Church is making preparations for an upcoming milestone, their 150th anniversary celebration.

On Sunday, April 3, the LeSueur River congregation will be using their "older" orders of Worship, from the "Service Book and Hymnal," a former hymnal used by the LeSueur River Lutheran Church.

Saturday, June 18, a hog roast is scheduled for 5 p.m. The evening promises to be eventful, with games, a hayride and other activities for the children. An evening social is planned for the adults, mingling with members and former members. They will also have a small program highlighting the past 150 years.

A festival worship service honoring the LeSueur River Lutheran Church’s 150th Anniversary is scheduled for 10 a.m., Sunday, June 19th. Harold Ussgard, of the Southeastern Minnesota Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, will be the guest pastor.

Immediately following the service, a catered luncheon is scheduled, wrapping up the festivities with an afternoon program. The program will consist of listening to many greetings from people, and the LeSueur River Lutheran Church congregation. The corner store will also be open.

The weekend of June 18 and 19th warrants to be a big weekend of celebration, so mark your calendars.

If you have any questions, contact Matt Groskreutz, Chair, LSR 150th committee.
