The NRHEG High School volleyball team added a few to the win column last week.

The Panthers, whose conference opener is tonight at Medford, defeated Maple River 3-0 at Mapleton Thursday, Sept. 11, two nights after falling 3-1 at LeSueur-Henderson. In a Saturday tournament at Wabasha, the Panthers defeated Lewiston-Altura 2-0 and Lake City 2-0 while dropping 2-0 decisions to Wabasha-Kellogg and Caledonia.

Coach Onika Peterson’s squad improved its record to 4-8 for the year.

Game scores with LSH were 25-13, 26-24, 25-11 and 25-14 in favor of the home team. NRHEG’s leaders: Marnie Wagner 7 kills, 11 digs; Maddie Wagner 5 kills, 16 digs, 1 ace block, 1 ace serve; Abby Wacholz 3 kills, 5 digs, 3 ace blocks, 1 ace serve; Anna Stork 2 kills, 3 digs, 1 assist, 2 ace blocks; Ryann Hagen 2 kills, 2 digs, 5 ace blocks; Anna Lundberg 11 assists, 17 digs; Hailey Schuller 8 assists, 7digs; Alyssa Esplan 19 digs.

The Panthers swept Maple River 25-12, 25-17, 25-11. Individual leaders: Maddie Wagner 5 kills, 2 ace blocks, 6 digs; Wacholz 4 kills, 1 assist, 2 ace blocks, 1 dig; Stork 5 kills, 2 assists; Marnie Wagner 4 kills, 7 digs; Hagen 4 kills, 2 digs; Kayley Camerer 3 kills; Lundberg 12 assists, 3 digs; Schuller 10 assists, 3 digs; Esplan 12 digs; Remi Wayne 7 digs.

The Panthers play Saturday, Sept. 20 in the Blue Earth Invitational.
