Gerladine Marie Peterson, age 85 of Waseca died on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Colony Court Memory Care in Waseca.

Born on May 2, 1930 in Freeborn County, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Howard and Ethel (Schauer) Bull.  She graduated from Waldorf High School in 1949 and married Albin Peterson on September 28, 1949 at the Methodist Church in Waseca. Together they lived and farmed in Otisco Township, Waseca County.  Gerri also worked at Bird’s Eye for 35 years. She enjoyed quilting, baking, fishing, playing cards, traveling and spending time with her family. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Waseca, where she enjoyed helping and planning many activities.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen Klinger of Mankato and Vicki (Pat) Hough of Mankato; three sons, Ray Peterson of New Richland, Randy (Sandy) Peterson of Waseca, and Lee (Chris) Peterson of Chaska; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Janice Stanke of Janesville; one brother, Murton (Lorraine) Bull of Pharr, TX; three sisters-in-law, Arlene Peterson of Waseca, Bev Peterson of New Richmond, WI, and Marlys Peterson of Centerville, SD; and many nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son-in-law, Ray Klinger.

Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. and continue on Wednesday, one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Faith United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in New Richland.
