Mary A. Supalla of Owatonna died July 29, 2014 at Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna. A memorial service is set for Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Brick–Meger Funeral Home (1603 Austin Road, Owatonna.) Friends may greet the family on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Mary was born December 20, 1942 in Albert Lea, MN the daughter of Antone and Florence (Kulla) Janka. She attended school in Ellendale. She was united in marriage to Tom Supalla and together had one son Todd; the couple later divorced. Mary worked as a health care provider for many years and most recently worked for “A Chance to Grow” and recently retired due to health concerns. Mary returned to school in her mid-60s to obtain her general education degree, an accomplishment she was most proud of. Her life interests include reupholestering furniture, day trips to the casino, making crafts and spending time with her family and friends.
Mary is survived by one son Todd and his wife Heather Supalla of Owatonna. Sisters Cathy (Myron) Wencl of Owatonna, Pat (Milo) Wobschall of Waseca. She is preceded in death by her, parents, one brother Rudy Janka, sister Delores Kasper and sister-in-law Darla Janka.
