Newly-elected school board directors JoAnne Maloney, Travis Routh, and Mark Tollefson braved blowing snow and near-blizzard conditions Monday evening to be sworn in at the NRHEG school district’s first meeting of the year.
At the short meeting held in the New Richland board room, the board held their annual organizational meeting.
Officers (chair Rick Schultz, vice-chair Michele Moxon, treasurer Mike Moen, and clerk Lori Routh) were re-elected to their same positions by unanimous vote.
Committee appointments for the coming year are:
Finance Committee: Travis Routh, Mike Moen, Lori Routh
“This committee meets if we need to consider refinancing something,” explained Schultz, “for example when we were considering borrowing.”
Policy Committee: JoAnne Maloney, Rick Schultz, Michele Moxon
Building and Grounds (Facilities) Committee: Michele Moxon Rick Schultz, Mike Moen
“This committee will be pretty busy this year, with all we have going,” said Schultz.
Transportation Committee: Mark Tollefson, Rick Schultz, Michele Moxon
School Activities Committee: Travis Routh, JoAnne Maloney, Lori Routh
Negotiations with the Paraprofessionals Union: JoAnne Maloney, Mike Moen, Travis Routh
Negotiations with the AFSCME Union: Michele Moxon, Rick Schultz, Lori Routh
Negotiations with the Certified Staff: Mark Tollefson, Lori Routh, Michele Moxon.
