NRHEG football coach Dan Stork likes to give credit where credit is due, and after another one-sided victory his focus was up front, on the offensive line.
Stork praised the men in the trenches as the Panthers pounded Sibley East 34-19 at Arlington Friday, Sept. 18.
“Both Jason Jongbloedt and Perry Peterson continue to shine behind the blocks of Zeke Erickson, Jack Schultz, Lucas Herrmann, Jon Weller, Alex Buckmeier, Wyatt Fitterer, Chad Agrimson, Karter Sletten and Trey Hoppe,” said Stork, whose team is 4-1 heading into homecoming week.
As they did a week earlier the Panthers dominated early, taking a 14-0 edge after one quarter on touchdown runs by Peterson and Hoppe and making it 21-0 at halftime on another score from Hoppe.Jongbloedt scored on a 33-yard scamper in the third period and John Cole caught a 2-yard touchdown pass from Palmer Peterson before Sibley East finally got on the scoreboard.
Jongbloedt had another big night with 118 yards rushing on 15 carries.
Palmer Peterson completed six of 15 passes for 109 yards and no interceptions.
Erickson was again dominant on defense, totaling 5.5 tackles and a sack.
