Bruce Edward Hesse died at age 83 on October 20, 2017 in Golden Valley, MN.
The son of Lester “Bud” Hesse and Myrtle Wilson Hesse, Bruce grew up in Benson, MN, and graduated from Little Falls High School in 1952, Saint Olaf College in 1956, and Luther Seminary in 1960.
He served Lutheran churches in Keewatin, MN, Joliet, IL, and Detroit, MI and then worked in social work administration after earning in 1976 a Masters Degree in Social Work Administration at the University of Michigan.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jane Rotegard Hesse, children Greta (Bob) Gauthier, Peter (Elizabeth), Joseph (Julie) and Michael, and nine grandchildren.
Services at Wayzata Community Church in Wayzata, MN, on October 27. Interment in New Richland, MN.
