Memorial services for Mary Bolduan will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in New Richland, MN. Pastor Scott Williams will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mary Helen Bolduan, of New Richland, passed away peacefully at the Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna on April 26, 2017 at the age of 77. Mary was born on August 18, 1939 to parents George and Helen (Bucek) Miller in Waseca County.
Mary grew up in Waseca County and helped her family on the farm. She was waitressing at a café in Waseca when she met her future husband. On July 19, 1958 Mary was united in marriage with Orville Bolduan in New Richland. They have lived in the community since 1961.
Mary was a skilled homemaker and enjoyed cooking, gardening, and sewing costumes, dresses, and clothing alterations through the years. She loved to dance and participated in square dancing for many years with Orville. Mary enjoyed helping at the Legion and assisting with food at Farm & City Days. Mary loved to care for her dogs and will be missed by her dog, Snoopy.
Survivors include her husband, Orville; daughter, Sue (John) Burke of O’Fallon, MO; son, Dennis (Melissa) Bolduan of New Richland, MN; grandchildren, Megan Burke, Sean Burke, Brandon Jensen, Tyler Bolduan, and Paige Bolduan; brothers, Robert (Jean) Miller and Kenneth (Roxie) Miller both of Waseca, MN; brothers-in-law, Ray Mudgett and Wayne Huntington; sisters-in-law, Marian Bolduan and Judy Miller; and several other relatives.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Linda Mudgett, Harriet (Leo) Roe, Laurice (LaVern) Tetzloff, Lorraine (Arnie) Knutson, Ruth Nelson, George Miller, Richard Miller, Sharon Huntington; brother-in-law, Bernard Bolduan; and sister-in-law, Grace (Paul) Mehls.
