Lawrence (Larry) Lee, age 86 of Waseca, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 3, 2017.

Lawrence was born January 20, 1931 to Elmer and Elvie (Kroeger) Lee in Waseca, Minnesota. He attended grade school at rural Waseca County school district #46 near Otisco and graduated from Waseca Central High School in 1949.  Lawrence then entered the U.S. Army and served for two years. Following his honorable discharge, he worked at his father’s repair garage in Otisco.  Lawrence attended DeVry Technical Institute in Chicago, IL and started a television sales and service business. He also learned to fly and spent many years as a flight instructor and corporate pilot.  On July 3, 1982, he married Sandra Brink in Marshall.  Lawrence was a member of Christ Community Church in Waseca, the Republican Party, Waseca Area Ham Radio Club, and served on the Waseca Airport Board.  He loved flying and was very skilled at fixing things.

Lawrence is survived by his wife, Sandra of Waseca; two children from a previous marriage, Alan (Carolyn) Lee and Wendy Lee all of Mankato; two step sons, Jim (Sharon) Brink of Sioux Falls, SD and Allan (Susan) Brink of Orange Park, FL; three grandchildren, Christopher (Sarah) Lee, Samantha Lee and Elena (Tony) Olson; one step granddaughter, Jill Brink; two great grandchildren, Jordan & Paityn Olson; sister, Jane (Robert) Kist Sullivan of Champlin.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Christ Community Church (2200 4th St. N.E.) in Waseca with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.   Burial will follow at St. Olaf Cemetery in New Richland.  Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services of Waseca is handling arrangements.  dennisfuneralhomes.com
