Clifford Oliver Anderson of Faribault died peacefully on Friday, August 12, 2011 at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital, just 17 days short of his 100th birthday.

Funeral services will be held at River Valley Church, 722 Ravine Street, Faribault on August 29, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Tomm Byrtus, the Reverend John Krans and the Reverend Mark Kenney, officiating. Interment will be at Lemond Cemetery, Steele County.

Visitation will be held in the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Sunday, August 28, 2011 from 4 to 7 p.m. and also in the church for one hour prior to the services on Monday.

Clifford was born on Aug 29, 1911 in Carthage, South Dakota to Eddie and Hannah (Welander) Anderson. The family moved to Oakland, NE when he was 4 and to Sherburn when he was 7 where he attended Rural School through 8th grade.

In 1927 they moved to Hollandale. In 1939 he married Harriet Johnson and in 1945 they moved to a farm in the New Richland area not too far from St. Olaf Lake.

In 1966 they moved to Faribault, MN where Clifford worked for McQuay until he retired. During the past 3 years Clifford and Harriet have been residents of Keystone Communities of Faribault.

He loved music and all kinds of cars and gadgets and could fix anything. Clifford lived with a faith and family purpose. He was a founding member of the Ellendale Assembly of God, Deacon in the Faribault Assembly of God Church and went on work missions to Costa Rica and Alaska. He had the respect and love of everyone who knew him

He is survived by his wife, Harriet; four sons, Curt (and Jeanette) Anderson of Omaha, NE, Howard (and Sandra) Anderson of Brunswick, OH, Wayne (and Sandy) Anderson of Apple Valley, Daniel (and Kim) Anderson of Shoreview; ten grandchildren, Kristin, David, Sheree, Adam, Shannon, Eric, Joel, Brian, Reid and Lauren; nine great grandchildren; one brother, LeRoy (and Avis) Anderson of Bloomington; and other relatives and friends.

Clifford was preceded in death by one son, David; and one grandson, Jordan.

A memorial gift is suggested by the family for a project to provide Full Life Study Bibles to Pastors in Asia directed by missionaries Herb and Karen Johnson. You can make checks payable to Assembly of God World Missions project #5643.
