Marvin died Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Good Samaritan Center surrounded by his family.

Marvin Andrew Lageson was born on November 8, 1924 to Edward and Lydia Lageson.  He attended school in Ellendale and farmed on the family farm.  He enjoyed dancing and met his future wife Linda Flink at the Terp Ballroom in Austin.  They were united in marriage on May 23, 1959. From this blessed union 5 children were born.

Marvin worked in various factories over his lifetime to support his family. But, farming was his real love.  Marvin was a kind and humorous man that liked to tell a good story.  He liked to raise vegetable gardens and had a passion for raising tomatoes.  Horses, old tractors, fishing, playing cards and the price of corn and beans held his interest.  Marvin loved his family and will be truly missed by his daughters and their families.

Survivors include his daughters, Susan and husband John Madson of Glenville, Kathleen and husband Richard Mead of Blooming Prairie, and Cindy and husband Dennis Jensen of Austin; grandchildren, Tasha and Lynn Heckes, Sarah Jensen and Gary Stueven, Brandon Jensen and Emmy Brechtel, Brooke Jensen and Mikey Salinas, Danielle Madrigal and Andrew Mittag, Mariah Mead, and Dillon Madson; great-grandchildren, Domnic Madrigal, Kyra Madrigal, Ella Salinas, Josie Stueven, Levi Heckes; 5 step great-grandchildren; and sister, Geraldine Lageson.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lydia Lageson; the love of his life, Linda Lageson; daughter, Karen Lageson, son, Robert Lageson; brother, Lowell Lageson and sister, Beverly Wallace.
